When your child is conceived everything about him or her is determined. This includes hair colour, body build, colour of eyes, mental capabilities and various other characteristics. During the next nine months that the baby is in the womb the brain develops, and nerve cells sent their fibers to all parts of the body. The heart goes through a complicated plan of formation and beginning with the second week, pumps the baby’s blood to all parts of the body. The lungs come into being but do not function until, the baby’s first cry. The lungs then fill with air and begin supplying the child’s needs for oxygen. It is from one original cell, composed of the united fractions contributed by both parents, which all cells compose a person’s body descend. The original cell promptly separates into two identical cells, and they keep on separating until a small colony of cells is formed, each cell like every other. Within a few days after conception some of the cells begin to develop differently from others. Some are modified to form muscle cells, others form the nerve cells, whilst others form bone, tendons, skin and so forth.
